University Heights Academy 7th grade student, Isabel Cook, has been notified by Duke TIP that she has been accepted into their Summer Studies Program at Rollins College in Orlando, Florida. Isabel will be enrolled in Design Challenges: Physics and Engineering. The Duke TIP Summer Studies is a three-week residential program for high-achieving young scholars in grades seven through ten. Students take part in interactive, inquiry-based learning that challenges them to think critically about themselves and their world. Led by content experts, courses are equivalent to a year of high school instruction. Only students who score at the very top of their grade level on the ACT or SAT are eligible to attend. Isabel (pictured below) is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Cook.
