UHA’s Junior American Citizens Winners Announced

 University Heights Academy Students won at the State and East Central Division levels in the 2013 “Invest in America’s Future” JAC contests which were sponsored locally by the Colonel John Green Chapter NSDAR.  There were 107 JAC groups in KY and there were 2760 children in Kentucky who participated in the contests. Twenty-four schools across the state were involved.  The five states represented in the ECD were:  Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia.  Kevli Sheth, 5th Grade Poem– 1st Place State and 1st Place ECD; Ashlyn Parker, 5th Grade Stamp—1st Place State and 2nd Place ECD; Karlee West, 4th Grade Poem—2nd Place State; Zoharb Iqbal, 4th Grade Short Story—2nd Place State; Roma Desai, 5th Grade Short Story—2nd Place State; and Carly Craft, 4th Grade Poster—3rd Place State.  Pictured 1st Row:  Zoharb Iqbal, Ashlyn Parker, and Karlee West    Row 2:  Carly Craft, Roma Desai & Kevli Sheth.
