Over the last year UHA conducted a successful pilot program deploying Google Apps for Education, a suite of cloud based tools designed to facilitate instruction in educational environments.  Both long and short term, this is the direction that the school is moving as we prepare students for continued achievement, particularly in a University setting where more than 40 million students, teachers, and administrators use Google Apps for Education, including 7 of the 8 Ivy League schools and the majority of the top 100 universities in the U.S.  Beginning next year (2015-2016), every UHA student and teacher has this suite of tools available to them, professional development to learn these tools, and we’ve introduced another laptop cart (Chromebooks) to facilitate this 21st century educational initiative.
