University Heights Academy is seeing big successes in Advanced Placement courses and test scores.  62% of all UHA juniors and seniors in 2011-2012(41 students) chose to enroll in one or more of the 8 Advanced Placement courses offered at UHA (Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, Government& Politics, Language and Composition, Literature and Composition, Psychology, and U.S. History).  These 41 students took a total of 66 AP tests.  AP exams are scored on a 5 point scale with 3 or better considered qualified to receive college credit and advanced placement. Thirty-three scores were 3 or higher.  All students taking AP Calculus scored 5 on their exams!  AP teachers attribute student success to smaller class sizes, intense rigor of course material, and strong student work ethic.

AP Scholar with Distinction: Steven Chapman, Kamran Siddiqi, and Arisa Ueno were named AP Scholar with Distinction, recognizing an average score of at least 3.5 and scores of 3 or higher on five or more exams.

AP Scholar with Honor: Margaret Frerichs was named an AP Scholar with Honor, recognizing an average score of at least 3.25 and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams.

AP Scholars: Rachel Land, Matthew Urban, and David Vance were named AP Scholars, recognizing an average score 3 or higher on three or more exams.

University Heights Academy would like to congratulate all the graduates of 2012 on their outstanding scores, and wish them well in their continued pursuit of excellence in higher education.
