Tyler Williams, a 2015 UHA graduate and a current senior at Murray State University, recently completed a 12 week internship at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
The internship included events, trainings, workshops, and a final presentation to management. While participating in the SCaN – Space Communications and Navigation Internship Project, he and his partner analyzed how NASA communicates its cybersecurity risks and designed a hierarchy model that helps to communicate these risks. The center director and other management leaders are investigating the use of this model across the agency. Tyler was also able to make several connections through professional development workshops, collaboration boot camp, and daily research. The internship was originally a 10 week internship. Tyler was asked to stay an additional two weeks. It was an outstanding experience!
