Vir Patel, a sophomore at UHA, has been chosen to join Gatton Academy’s Class of 2015.  Vir is one of 72 students chosen across the state of Kentucky this year.  In order to be selected for this program, a student must have an average of 30.2 on the ACT and 29.2 on the math portion of the test.  The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky allows juniors and seniors to live and attend classes at Western Kentucky University.  When Vir finishes the program, he will have at least 60 college credit hours and his high school diploma.  Vir is the 5th student from University Heights who has been selected for this prestigious honor.
